As our guest at the Lydiard Wine Bar, we invite you to experience and enjoy the essence of our restaurant- sharing, sampling and savouring great food and wine in a relaxed environment. There are no formalities and no set rules here, only tasting pleasure!
The shared food concept is brought here by head chef Damien Jones. Damien's skills and experience are matched with his passion for food. Damien has been at the head of many highly regarded restaurants in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Melbourne. Damien is classically French trained but has a strong passion for preparing Thai cuisine.
Lydiard Wine Bar features the cream of Ballarat's cool climate wines as well as sourcing wines from the Pyrenees that best highlight the terroir of this unique region. Our restaurant also offers an eclectic selection of European whites, and Australian wines that reflect the best characteristics of their provenance.
We pride ourselves on our strong relationships with winemakers, produce growers and suppliers and our philosophy is to support local business and promote quality, fresh, local produce by showcasing the best our region has to offer.
